Finally the book "The Raw and the Cooked" has reached the bookshelfs. Joerg Colberg writes about the book in his blog."You don’t have to be an insider to enjoy it (much like, let’s face it, you don’t have to be a photobook insider to enjoy many others). But once you take the time, you start seeing a lot of details, and your level of appreciation changes. And that’s really what photography is all about: The enjoyment to be had from looking, and the enjoyment to be had from seeing a little bit more, or something a little bit different every time you come back."

These are the kind words the German Photographic Society uses to announce their decision: "With Peter Bialobrzeski, born in Wolfsburg in 1961, the DGPh is honouring one of the most high-profile and most highly committed photographers, who for almost 20 years has been continually describing and interpreting the world with his camera. The award also acknowledges an influential photography teacher and author, who has always analysed the theoretical aspects of photography and been a major trend setter in this field."

The book “KILL YOUR DARLINGS” presents nineteen works by twenty photographers, curated and edited by Ute Noll. The photographers represented in the book have studied at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen with Peter Bialobrzeski between 2005 and 2011. Here is an interesting review.
